Are you a Category I FSP without a compliance officer?
Your annual Compliance Report must be submitted to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) by 28 February 2019.
During the FSCA’s last round of onsite audits, they visited 60 FSPs without an external compliance officer and found that at least 80% of these FSPs had areas of non-compliance.
An added concern is Board Notice 194 that came into effect on 1 April 2018 as it brought with it a number of Fit and Proper requirements that every FSP will need to meet. A number of these requirements have been incorporated in the Compliance Report and FSPs who are not familiar with Board Notice 194 will struggle to complete their Compliance Report.
We know this can be daunting for FSPs that are not familiar with the terminology, the interpretations and processes set out by the FSCA. Masthead has assisted many FSPs to complete their annual Compliance Reports. We can make this process a hassle-free and easy one.
Attend our three-hour session facilitated by an experienced compliance officer. During this session you will be guided through each question in the Compliance Report. The terminology, interpretations and processes set out by the FSCA will be explained and you’ll be given tips on how to best demonstrate that your FSP is compliant.
