We have developed a register that will log and track all your training activities and qualifications.
If convenience is what you want then this Competence Register is for you – All seminars, online courses and Class of Business Training that you complete via the Masthead Learning Centre will automatically be logged and you can add any of your other training records with the click of a button.
What about completeness and storage? – The FSCA wants FSPs to keep record of qualifications, Regulatory Exams, Class of Business Training, Product Specific training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, and that’s exactly what we’ve built. Training records across all these areas can be recorded in our register. You’ll also be able to upload supporting documents, such as certificates and degrees, within seconds. All records will be retained for a minimum of 5 years.
Easy access – Anyone using the Masthead Learning Centre has immediate access to this register.
Are you after less admin and more time – We have made reporting to your FSP, the FSCA or other industry bodies a breeze. Click on the EXPORT button and you will have all your records to sort and filter by date. You will also be able to type in additional information and email if required – it doesn’t get easier than this.
FSPs are required to keep training records. The Fit and Proper requirement to implement a Competence Register came into effect on 1 May 2018. This means that FSPs must keep a record of all qualifications, Regulatory Exams, Class of Business Training, Product Specific Training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities of its Key Individuals and Representatives. In addition, FSPs must be able to report on this to the FSCA, if asked to do so.
