Plan for the New CPD Cycle by Preparing a CPD Plan for the Year Ahead
The new CPD cycle will start on 1 June 2026 and will end on 31 May 2027. FSPs, KIs, and Reps are required to prepare a CPD Training Plan. The CPD training plan must ensure that the type and combination of CPD activities undertaken are relevant, contribute to the knowledge, skills and ethical standards of the FSP, its KIs and Reps. The CPD training plan must also address any identified needs or gaps, while ensuring that the required CPD hours are obtained timeously.

Submit Your PAIA Annual Report Before the Deadline
Information officers are reminded to submit the annual PAIA report for the 2025/2026 financial year, to the Information Regulator by 30 June 2026. Click here to read more.
Are Your Annual Financial Statements Ready for Submission?
A reminder to all FSPs whose financial year end was 28 February 2026 to ensure that their annual financial statements are submitted to the FSCA by 30 June 2026. FSPs which are required to submit Annexure A (FAIS Notice 82 of 2015) together with their Annual Financial Statements, are reminded to do so. Submissions must be done via the FAIS e-Portal on the FSCA website.
It remains the responsibility of the FSP and Key Individual to ensure that these statements are submitted within the prescribed period. Failure to do so can result in the FSP’s licence being suspended and a penalty imposed.
If you are unable to submit your annual financial statements by the due date, you may request an extension. Requests for extensions must be submitted at least 15 days before the submission date to the FSCA.
FICA Risk & Compliance Return Deadlines are Approaching
A reminder that the following accountable institutions must comply with Directive 11 of 2026 by submitting the FICA Risk and Compliance Return by 30 June 2026:
- Item 2 – Trust and Company Service Providers
- Item 9 – Gambling sector (Casinos)
- Item 11 – Credit Providers (excluding Banks)
- Item 14 – The South African Postbank
- Item 21 – The South African Mint Company
- Item 22 – Crypto Asset Service Providers
The following accountable institutions must comply with Directive 11 of 2026 by submitting the FICA Risk and Compliance Return by 31 July 2026:
- Item 1 – Legal Practitioners
- Item 3 – Estate Agents
- Item 20 – High Value Goods Dealers
- Item 9 – Gambling sector (non-casino gambling institutions)
