Risk management for financial services providers to thrive in an ever-changing regulatory world
Driven by the desire to make a difference, we apply our expertise and experience to develop and deliver unique compliance, risk management, practice management and business intelligence services that achieve results both now and in the future.
With our finger on the pulse of the industry, we are aware of the needs of independent financial advisors (IFAs) and larger financial institutions, and strive to support and keep them in business.
We aim to stay relevant and respond to the requirements of an ever-changing regulatory environment.
Masthead was launched timeously in 2004 – on the eve of the implementation of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act. Our main aim was, and still is, to support independent financial advisors (IFAs) and help them to retain their independence and thrive. Our membership quickly grew, as did our reputation in the industry as the advisor’s advisor. Today we are the largest compliance services provider to financial services providers (FSPs) in South Africa and we cherish our excellent relationships with all the major stakeholders in the financial services industry. Drawing on our wealth of experience, we extended our offering to corporate FSPs in 2012. We now count among our clients some of the leading FSPs in South Africa, as well as financial services businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.
Masthead is skillfully led by highly qualified experts, all of whom have a solid background in the financial services industry. Masthead’s executive committee comprises:
As part of our corporate responsibility and in line with our parent company, Old Mutual, we acknowledge that broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) has the objective of empowering and benefiting people across South Africa by redressing inequalities of the past.
We strive to create opportunities for previously disadvantaged people, through skills development and employment opportunities. We are committed to acquiring services from black-owned enterprises.
Masthead is a level 2 B-BBEE contributor.
