The FSCA and Prudential Authority (the Authorities) have confirmed the commencement date of Joint Standard 2 of 2024: Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience as 1 June 2025.
On 17 May 2024, the Authorities published the final version of the Joint Standard which stated that it will commence at a date to be determined by the Authorities through a further notice. It was expected that the Joint Standard would commence in June 2025 given that the Authorities have afforded financial institutions 12 months to prepare and put the necessary measures in place for compliance.
The Authorities have recently confirmed the commencement date as 1 June 2025 in a Joint Communication.
