POPI – registration of Information Officers
All Information Officers and Deputy Information Officers were to be registered with the Information Regulator by 30 June 2021 however due to technical glitches with the online registration portal, the Information Regulator has confirmed that responsible parties will not be held liable for not meeting this deadline. There is currently no deadline that has been set for registration and technicians are working on resolving the issues with the online portal.
A reminder to register as soon as possible and that registration can also be done manually.

Categorisation of Complaints
The amendments to the FAIS General Code of Conduct, which requires that complaints are categorized, came into effect on 26 June 2021.
A reminder to those FSPs who have not already addressed this requirement, to ensure that the adoption of their Complaints Management Framework includes the required categorisation of complaints for complaints reporting.
